FOAM Model Validation

Validation of various FOAM model parameters is undertaken regularly by the verification team within the Met Office. The table below provides links to the most recent validation plots for temperature and salinity at different depths and the mixed layer depth for a selection of model configerations.

Each of these plots present the most recent 50-day timeseries of model validation. Statistics include number of observations, Forecast-Observed mean and RMS error and a skill score. Statistics are generated for different forecast times, from T+0 to T+120.
