Demonstrators
Welcome to the NCOF demonstrators section.
We like to feel that this will become one of the most exciting areas of the NCOF website, and hope that you will also enjoy visiting these pages and come back regularly to see what new demos have been posted..
The demonstrations presented are a mixture of products undergoing market testing, cutting edge research seeking a real-world application, or just plain interesting and novel ways of visualizing ocean processes.
A number of demonstrations of NCOF products are also available on sites run by ESSC, PML, POL, NOCS and the Met Office. To view these, please follow the links from the Partner Demos page.
We aim to regularly update the demonstrations in these pages. Presently, live demonstrations are:
OSTIA - a High Resolution Sea Surface Temperature and Ice Analysis created and freely available as part of the GODAE GHRSST-PP project.
A demo using Open Geospatial Consortium compliant services to supply sea surface temperature data into an interactive map.
Met Office model boundaries in KML - these can be opened in Google Earth or other similar applications.
Environmental Indicators - produced for the BOSS4GMES European research project to demonstrate a concise summary of four physical oceanographic parameters useful in environmental monitoring.
