NCOF Products and Services are based upon a range of applications and models, some of which are well established operational workhorses, and some of which present the leading edge of our oceanographic research knowledge.
With any information of this type we believe it is crucial to understand just how reliable the information being used actually is, in order that any decision taken on it's basis can be made with as full an understanding of the risks involved as possible.
As a result, this section of the NCOF website aims to present an assessment of our various capabilities in a digestable and non-technical form. The chosen method is to provide Capability Tables, which we hope will provide a useful first indication of how we rate our research and operational data.
